Choosing a builder

Which of the four modes fits what you are actually making.

The four modes are not four styles of the same thing — they produce genuinely different artefacts. This is the short version of which to pick.

ModeYou give itYou get backPick it when
WebsiteA description of the business or ideaA multi-page site, hosted and publishablePeople will find you by searching or clicking a link
Mobile AppA description, plus Android or iOSAn app project with screens and navigationPeople will use it repeatedly and want it on their phone
Legal pageWhat your business does and whereA drafted policy or agreementYou need a privacy policy, terms, or similar
App ConverterThe URL of a site that is already liveA native app that wraps that siteThe website already exists and you just want it on a store

Website or mobile app?

Ask how someone finds you. If the answer is a search result, a shared link, or a card in a bio, build a website — it is reachable from anywhere with no install. If the answer is "they open it again on Thursday", an app earns its place on the home screen.

You do not have to choose permanently. Plenty of people publish the website first and later run it through the App Converter to get a store-ready app from the same content.

Converter or mobile app builder?

  • The App Converter wraps a live site. It is fast, and the app changes whenever the site does — but it is the site, on a phone.
  • The Mobile App builder generates real app screens from a description. Slower to get right, and the result behaves like an app rather than a page.

The converter needs a URL that is already reachable on the public internet. A site you have built in Woxelo but not yet published has no address to point it at.
